The technology of reverse osmosis lends itself to removing salts and other contaminants from non-consumable water sources through the use of a high pressure pump. This pump is designed to defeat the osmotic pressure of a natural process called "Osmosis". Naturally, osmosis carries salt through a semi-porous membrane from a location with low saline concentration to location with high saline concentration. It wishes to gain an equal amount of saline concentration on both sides of the membrane. To reverse this natural process and obtain purified water, reverse osmosis utilizes a high pressure pump to direct osmosis in the opposite direction. The pump applies high pressure to the highly concentrated saline side of the membrane, aggressively pushing salty water and other contaminants across the membrane, yet only allowing water molecules to pass through. Salt and the other contaminants are stopped and thrown into the drain on the concentrate side, while purified water comes out and is ready to be collected on the permeate side.
Pure Aqua, Inc. has a standard range of commercial reverse osmosis RO equipment as well as a standard product line of modular pre and post treatment modules. Most of our standard reverse osmosis range can be modified at a later stage simply by retrofitting extra membrane modules or pre-treatment modules in order to increase flow. All our reverse osmosis systems are manufactured in the USA. Pure Aqua is an ISO9001:2008 certified company.

Estuaries and river openings are places where brackish water can be found. This type of water lies in between fresh water and seawater. It’s not as clean as fresh water, yet not so highly concentrated in salt as seawater. Even if it has a mild salt concentration, it is still not encouraged for consumption.

[custom-features]
A commercial RO equipment supplied to a major company in Colombia. The equipment came complete with a multi-media filter for particle removal, activated carbon filter for chlorine removal, water softener to remove hardness, a commercial RO system designed to produce 4,500 GPD at a feed up to 1000 PPM TDS, and a UV sterilizer & ozone to kill bacteria. The TW-4.5K-340 was selected from our RO-200 series and was controlled by a microprocessor control panel. From their initial start-up, the equipment have been operating accordingly with minimal trouble-shooting. Commercial RO equipment are manufactured to successfully take out large quantities of salt and other contaminants from non-consumable water sources. This mission requires the use of the reverse osmosis technology for assistance.
