From its initial start-up, it has been operating accordingly with minimal trouble-shooting. Reverse Osmosis is a method that applies excessive pressure via uses a high pressure pump to force water, not salt, through a semi-porous membrane in the opposite direction of a natural process called “Osmosis”.
Osmosis draws a diluted solution towards a highly concentrated solution. Reverse Osmosis is tasked with reversing this natural process by transporting water molecules and particles from the highly concentrated solution to a low concentrated one. A reverse osmosis system is utilized to carry out the process of reverse osmosis by passing feed water through semi-porous membrane eliminating particles, organics, and other impurities. Water is only permitted to pass through while salts, organics, and other impurities are rejected and discharged into a drain from the concentrate side. The ending result is fresh, potable water emerging on the permeate side.
Pure Aqua, Inc. offers the industrial Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Filtration Systems to meet any city water or tap, brackish or seawater application need. By using the highest quality and more reliable components, the skid-mounted Pure Aqua reverse osmosis systems are engineered to effectively produce high grade treated water, free of contaminants or particulate matter. The Pure Aqua RO membrane filtration systems range in standard output capacities from 500GPD to 1,000,000 GPD with larger custom units available. Our experienced process applications engineers have a long history designing and installing the best skid mounted RO filtration systems.
Pure Aqua, Inc. offers a variety of system accessories for use with our standard or skid mounted reverse osmosis membrane filtration systems. Accessories include ultra-filtration, screen filters, backwash systems for multi-media filtration, chemical feed or dosing systems, clean-in-place or CIP systems, ultra violet sterilizers, ozonation units and media filtration systems.
Date: March 2013

System/Product: Brackish Reverse Osmosis System
Flow Rate: 1,800 GPD
Components & Brands:
- RO200 series
- Pre and post treatments
- Multimedia filter
- Activated carbon filter
- Water Softener
- Chemical dosing systems
[custom-specifications]
Brackish water is water that is taken from estuaries and river openings. It salt concentration falls in between fresh water and seawater. Not as pure as fresh water, yet not as salty as seawater. Its mild salty concentration is discouraged for human consumption. To generate purified water from brackish water, a water filtration system relies on a method called "reverse osmosis" for assistance.
