BIOMONITORING

The use of living organisms to test the suitability of effluents for discharge into receiving waters and to test the quality of such waters downstream from the discharge. Biomonitoring works by analyzing organic substances to understand the hazardous properties and what their effects are. The ultimate goal of biomonitoring is to gauge the health concerns and safety posed to workers for the purposes of comparing assessment values. This process will bring proper measures for decreasing the degree of certainty and the concerns posed to health. Protective measures are augmented from the findings of biomonitoring.
