COALESCENCE

Liquid particles in suspension that unite to create particles of a greater volume.Coalescence is a process that works by removing particles from water or gas streams. These particles consist of airborne oil mists, vapor, moisture, hydrocarbon oil, and water pollution from aviation fuel. Other involvements of this process are accumulating microscopic droplets, either at the fibers or surface of a medium. As the droplets coalesce with one another to create bigger droplets, they eventually reach a large enough size to fall off or be pushed back from the medium. The surface collection necessitates a specific kind of surface on the medium that disallows the polluted particles from penetrating into the surface. The liquid particles are then either accumulated and coalesced on the surface until they are pulled away by gravity forces or they immediately rejected.
