Water Concern: Most countries in Africa do not have the capacity to provide clean drinking water to its inhabitants. The issue of water shortages is exacerbated with natural disasters such as severe droughts which occur frequently throughout the region. Most of these nations simply lack the infrastructure to deliver safe drinking water. For this reason, most of Africa’s water sources contain high amounts of unwanted substances which make for elevated levels of TDS in well water, ground, surface water, etc. To combat this issue, water treatment processes such as reverse osmosis is depended upon to provide effective solutions that will ensure clean water production.

Applied Solution: Pure Aqua engineers and manufactures water purification systems along with commercial brackish water reverse osmosis plants. On December 2010, Pure Aqua successfully designed and supplied a commercial BWRO plants to a major company in Djibouti. The objective to treat well water with a TDS of approximately 3000 ppm. The product water capacity was 33,000 GPD with a TDS of 50 ppm or lower. The BWRO plant included with the RO system was prechlorination, multimedia filter, carbon filter, antiscalant, and post chlorination. Awesome engineering!!
Pure Aqua worked with us to find the most efficient way of designing a bwro system which enable us to maximize feed water recovery and save fresh water feed and reject water generation which is also savings on sewage fees to the city.
