DIFFUSER

A component of the ozone contacting system in an ozone generator that allows diffusion of an ozone containing gas. The diffusing process is done through a porous stone which is resistant to ozone and works in producing fine bubbles. As the bubbles permeate in the contact vessel they transition the ozone into what is known as the liquid phase. One benefit of the diffuser is that they are capable of utilizing the pressure of the ozone generation to push gas through the diffusers without requiring more power and energy. The drawbacks of this process include the expenses involved to construct the deep basin contactors.
