HYPOCHLORITE

An anion that forms products such as calcium and sodium hypochlorite. These products are often used for disinfection and bleaching. Hypochlorite is a compound that is efficient in the utilization of water purification due to its composition of oxygen and chlorine. It is widely used for the purposes of water sterilization, surface water treatment, and smell removal. Specifically found in consumer bleaching products, and other cleaning solutions, hypochlorite is very productive in eradicating bacteria that carries diseases.
