ION EXCHANGE

The replacement of undesirable ions with a certain charge by desirable ions of the same charge in a solution, by an ion-permeable absorbent. Ion exchange resins work by producing reversible chemical reactions that help remove solutions through its dissolved ions and replenishes these ions with the same of its kind. These resins help solve water issues that include the buildup of scale, hard water minerals, arsenic and nitrate removal, etc. It is a cost-effective water treatment method that requires the addition of salt to replenish the sodium ions, which targets and removes calcium and magnesium ions for the purposes of water softening.More info on ion exchange systems
