PARAMETER

A variable, measurable property whose value is a determinant of the characteristics of a system such as water. The terms parameter and perimeter are sometimes seen as interchangeable, but have different meanings when taking into account that parameters describe the substantial distance throughout an object, while parameters can consist of or characterize something tangible or intangible. Parameters basically state that the entire scope of a sample of a certain size has the equivalent opportunity of being used. Temperature, pressure, and density are examples of parameters.
