A Water Softener is designed and built to remove minerals that cause hardness in water. It is highly recommended to use a water softener to refrain from negative outcomes such as clogged pipes, damaged boilers, and heated exchangers. Household, commercial, and industrial water systems suffer greatly from lime scale deposits as a result of hard water. Lime scale build-up can cause pipes to clog up and decreases the efficiency of hot boilers, tanks, and laundry machines. Since its startup, the water softener system has been running smoothly with minimal trouble-shooting. For satisfactory results, the package took advantage of the following grades of media: Gravel and resin.

Resin is an insoluble support structure that usually comes in the form of small beads created from an organic polymer substrate. Resin also has a highly porous structure on the surface which are sites with easily trapped and released ions. Resin is used in processes such as separation, purification, and decontamination.  It is commonly used in water softeners and water purification.
