Reverse osmosis systems have been used worldwide in several areas in which there is lack of safe water supply. Impurities in the water makes it difficult to use in many applications.

These Five commercial reverse osmosis units for tap water treatment (TWRO systems) were manufactured by Pure Aqua, Inc. to a company in Sri Lanka. The RO systems include RO-400 models TW-4.5K. Each unit is capable of producing purified water at a capacity of 4,500 gallons per day. Before the water passes directly to the RO Units, it passed through the pretreatment included in the system. A 12” FRP Multimedia filter tanks were implemented to remove solids and turbidity in the water, 12” FRP Activated Carbon Filter tanks were used, and both filters have Fleck 7000 Valves. Additionally, Anti-scalant chemical injection systems were used to prevent scaling to the ESPA2-LD-4040 membranes.
