The TW-36K-1580 system was selected from our RO-400 Series to accommodate the flow rate the customer requires. The system is comprised of the following products:
- RO-400 series [TW-36K-1580]
- TDS of Approximately 350 PPM
- Produce 36,000 GPD
- 8 x 40 Inch Membrane Elements
- Concentrate Recycle Feature
- 75% Recovery
Water Challenges: Brackish water reverse osmosis would work to purify water that comes from a well, lake, or river. Brackish water is typically a combination of pure water and seawater leaving in at a medium level of salinity. A medium level of salinity however, is not acceptable for consumption. The process in which the water goes through in order to be pure is referred to as reverse osmosis. Reverse osmosis provides those who do not have consumable water with the opportunity to purify a necessity for livelihood. Totally dissolved solids (TDS) and total suspended solids (TSS) are lowered due to reverse osmosis which reflect in how many parts per million (ppm) are in your drinking water. The normal ppm for consumable water would be around 500-600, however, the majority of places around the world well exceed that with thousands of ppms making it difficult to survive. Reverse osmosis offers those who need it, pure water.
Applied Solution: Pure Aqua manufactured and supplied a brackish water reverse osmosis system, TW-36K-1580, to a major water treatment company in Lebanon. The objective was to lower the sodium chloride concentration from feed water with a TDS of approximately 350 ppm. The product water capacity was 36,000 GPD with a TDS of 10 ppm or lower. The RO system included six 8 x 40 inch membrane elements and a concentrate recycle feature that provides approximately 75% recovery.
