IMPERMEABLE

Impermeable objects are considered those that are not easily penetrated by water. These objects include stone, asphalt, bricks, wood, coverage, and other material which do not require permeable spacing. Low permeability results in the inability of these materials to transfer fluids, including not allowing hydrocarbons to pass through them. Rocks are needed by certain applications, specifically cap and sealing rocks for reservoirs due to their impermeability.
