Leachates are considered water bodies that possess solute materials to the point that it has specific substances in the solution once percolation is completed through the soil or a filter. Many studies show that the human health concerns from leachate sources can be directly related to toxic effects. The leachate can quickly pollute the water from any type of water source with substances that make it non consumable or usable in any application. A short exposure or a long-term exposure will be enough to create long-lasting health risks for any human unfortunate enough to consume leachate water.
