LIMNOLOGY

The study of the physical, chemical, hydrological, and biological aspects of fresh water. The process of Limnology takes into account the workings of water sources on inland terrain and highlights their contrasting aspects. This study is vital due to the importance that inland water sources have for the world, such as lakes, rivers, fishing ponds, drinking water, wildlife attractions, and protection of land. Scientists hope that a greater understanding of Limnology will provide solutions on how to improve conditions for the interrelationships of living things within inland waters and the overall environment.
