MESOTROPHIC

Reservoirs and lakes which contain moderate quantities of nutrients and are moderately productive in terms of aquatic animal and plant life. Mesotrophic lakes are usually consisting of pure water, with a wide array of aquatic organisms and plants residing at the deepest parts of these lakes. Medium level plants provide adequate amounts of nutrients to the water. Mesotrophic is a term that equates to terrestrial habitations that is considered as a median between oligotrophic lakes and eutrophic lakes.
