MUNICIPAL DISCHARGE

Municipal discharge is categorized as effluent that originated from wastewater treatment plants and collects wastewater from sources such as industrial facilities, commercial businesses, and households. These discharges are meant to be from publicly owned wastewater treatment sources and can incorporate industrial and domestic wastewater. Grey water, sewage and other unwanted water that contains elevated levels of impurities are occasionally found within municipal discharge. In order to prevent municipal discharge, wastewater treatment is needed in order to remove these impurities from the wastewater prior to discharge.
