OSMOSIS

Water molecules passing through membranes naturally, to the side with the highest concentration of dissolved impurities. Osmosis occurs naturally in the human body through the movement of water from higher levels to lower levels across a permeable membrane. Osmosis is prevalent over these membranes in human cells that permit the water to flow inwards and outwards from them. As humans consume water, the cells within the body will accumulate it through osmosis in a similar fashion that plant roots do. This is due to the increase of salinity in the body leading to an increase of solubility concentrate which decreases the osmotic pressure within the cell barriers.
