PRIMARY WASTEWATER TREATMENT

The removal of suspended, floating and precipitated solids from untreated wastewater. The main goal of this process is to eradicate as much impurities from the effluent water before discharging it to the environment. After this stage in the process is complete then the solid substances within the wastewater will begin to deteriorate and collect oxygen, which the animals and plants within the water will utilize. After the primary wastewater treatment is finished, then the remaining effluent will be sent to secondary wastewater treatment.Click here for an overview of the wastewater treatment process
