SEDIMENTS

Soil, sand, and minerals washed from land into water, usually after rain. Sediments can consist of any sort of particulate substances that can be moved across through the flowing of fluids and ultimately unloaded as a covering of solid substances on the bed or lowermost of a water source or other fluids. Sediments are created through erosion or weathering and work in breaking down rocks into free materials in a given area.
