Skid mounted BWRO machines are machines built to treat and produce potable water from places such as wells, lakes, and rivers. Here, reverse osmosis technology is utilized to assist these machines have in eliminating large amounts of salt, organics, and impurities found in water. Reverse osmosis starts out by adding excessive pressure to the highly concentrated saline side of a semi-permeable membrane through the use of a high pressure pump. Excessive pressure is applied for the reason of transporting highly concentrated salty water across a semi-permeable membrane, only permitting water molecules to flow through the tiny pores while salt, organics, and other impurities are blocked and later thrown into the drain from the concentrate side. Fresh, potable water finally comes out on the permeate side and is ready to be collected.

Estuaries and river openings are places where brackish water can be found. This type of water lies in between fresh water and seawater. It’s not as clean as fresh water, yet not so highly concentrated in salt as seawater. Even if it has a mild salt concentration, it is still not encouraged for consumption.



This skid mounted BWRO machine was supplied to a major company in South Africa. The BWRO machine came complete with pre and post treatment of multimedia and activated carbon filters, a water softener, and UV sterilizer. It was pre-piped and wired all on one skid controlled by one microprocessor control panel. The machine was designed to produce 4,500 GPD at a feed up to 2,000 PPM TDS. The TW-4.5K-340 was selected from our RO-200 series.  From its initial start-up, the machine has been running smoothly with minimal trouble-shooting.
