Naturally, osmosis carries salt through a semi-permeable membrane from a region with low saline concentration to an area with high saline concentration to attain an equal amount of saline concentration on both ends of the membrane. The high pressure pump applies extreme pressure to the highly concentrated saline side of the membrane, forcing only water molecules through the semi-permeable membrane while blocking salts, minerals, and other impurities from flowing through. At the end, fresh water comes out on the permeate side while salt, organics, and other impurities are thrown into a drain from the concentrate side.

Skid mounted commercial RO systems are designed and manufactured to eliminate large quantities of salt and other impurities from waters that aren’t suitable for human consumption. These systems employ a pressure-driven technology called “reverse “osmosis” to assist in completing this task. For the technology of reverse osmosis to be carried out, a high pressure pump is utilized to combat the osmotic pressure of a natural process called “Osmosis”.

Pure Aqua successfully manufactured and supplied three skid mounted commercial RO systems to a major company in the Philippines. Each system came complete with multi-media and activated carbon filters and chemical dosing systems. They all came pre-piped and wired all on one skid controlled by one microprocessor control panel. Each system was designed to produce 15,000 GPD at a feed up to 5000 PPM TDS. The BW-15K-1040 was selected from our RO-200 series.From their initial start-up, the systems been operating accordingly with minimal trouble-shooting.
