Reverse Osmosis is a technology that was discovered back in the 1950’s, which masters the separation of potable water from water sources such as lakes, rivers, wells, and even the sea. This reverse osmosis technology guarantees the least amount of contaminants to be found in water. This technology is useless without the use of a reverse osmosis machine. A reverse osmosis machine is composed of a high pressure pump that applies excessive pressure to brackish or sea water against the surface of a very fine membrane pushing salt-depleting water, suspended solids, minerals, ions, and other contaminants across the membrane leading to the emergence of purified water on the lower-pressured side. Salt, suspended solids, and the other contaminants are blocked and later discharged into the drain on the concentrate side.

Brackish water is water that is taken from estuaries and river openings. It salt concentration falls in between fresh water and seawater. Not as pure as fresh water, yet not as salty as seawater. Its mild salty concentration is discouraged for human consumption. To generate purified water from brackish water, a water filtration system relies on a method called "reverse osmosis" for assistance.

Pure Aqua successfully manufactured and supplied a skid mounted commercial RO machine to a major company in Finland. The machine came complete with pre and post treatments including an activated carbon filter, and a UV sterilizer system. It came pre-piped and wired all on one skid controlled by one microprocessor control panel. The machine was designed to produce 6,000 GPD at feed TDS up to 500 PPM. The TW-6.0K-440 was selected from our RO-200 series.
