Water treatment for power generation is a vital process that requires a dependable technology. Mixed Bed Deionizers are used to eliminate ionized contaminants from water. 95% of dissolved minerals from the water supply can be removed through the process of deionization by way of ion exchange. This process used two separate resins. Here, cationic and anionic resins are combined in a single vessel. As water flows through the mixed bed deionizer, it has numerous chances to contact a cation bead, then an anion, then another cation etc. An exchange only takes place when a positive ion comes in contact with a negative ion and vice versa. Every time there is an exchange, water purity improves because more ions are eliminated and held by resin beads. This redundant repetition will produce water that is considered chemically pure, which greatly suits the needs of the power & energy industry.

Applied Solution: A commercial reverse osmosis machine was designed for a power and energy company in Indonesia. The system came complete with chemical dosing systems, mixed bed deionizers, and a cleaning skid. The machine was designed to produce 32,000 GPD at a feed up to 3000 PPM TDS. The BW-32K-7340-3 was selected from our RO-300 series and was controlled by an advanced PLC and included two alternating high-pressure pumps. From its initial start-up, the machine has been operating smoothly with minimal trouble-shooting. A commercial brackish water reverse osmosis system is manufactured and built to take out large amounts of salt, suspended particulates, and contaminants from non-consumable water sources.
