Water Challenges: Well water faces challenges that concerns high amounts of particles in the water that accumulates from the earth's crust in many ways. Sediments can appear in well water after it has been dug, or has been through a certain problem. While these particles are not considered health hazards, they do produce staining of pipes, sinks, tubs, fixtures, as well as clothing items. Other substances can wreak havoc on plumbing systems, and completely damage pipes and fittings. To ensure that these problems do not occur, well water must be treated through media filtration in order to remove the large amounts of particles from the water.
