Seawater Reverse Osmosis System 112000 GPD - Mexico

Product Description

Application: Salt Mine

This is model SW-112K-4780 from our SWI Series.

Industrial seawater reverse osmosis systems are built for highly inconsumable water sources like the sea, removing enormous amounts of salt and other contaminants from them. Denying salts, particulates, and other contaminants from carrying on, water molecules are only permitted through the tiny pores of the membrane. Fresh, purified water emerges on the permeate side and is ready to be collected while salt, particulates, and other contaminants are discharged into a drain from the concentrate side.

Water Challenges: Seawater is a great resource for salt mines throughout the world due to the extremely high concentration of saline in the ocean. Extracting salt from seawater can be done through water treatment systems such as reverse osmosis, that separates salt and other minerals from the water in order to produce fresh, purified product water. In this application, the concentrated solution of salt is what is needed from the salt mine industry. Countries today that do not possess sufficient refrigeration, still depend on these salt mines for the preservation of their food, including adding flavor and nutrients to their diets. Additionally, the salt from these mines assists in treating hard water, melting ice, and producing paper. For seven centuries, miners hauled salt from its depths. Before refrigeration, that salt helped preserve foods. It added flavor. And it provided a needed nutrient in the diet. Today salt has many additional uses.

The old RO was about 20% bigger but flow rate was lower. We save some space and gain production too.
