Water Challenges: Suspended solids and turbidity are common challenges of hotels in Hong Kong that are forced to use water from natural sources that contain these unwanted contaminants. Suspended solids comprise sediments and particles which are prone to cause turbidity. Turbidity produces bad coloring within the water, creating a fog or murky-like texture in the water and affecting the taste and smell as well. These occurrences drastically reduce the quality of water and is unacceptable to use in any hotel that serves drinking water. Scaling also arises due to the suspended solids and affects the performance of the equipment used in the hotel, including showers, baths, and laundry.

Applied Solution: Pure Aqua, Inc. designs and manufactures water treatment systems in addition to stainless steel multi-media filters. Pure Aqua successfully manufactured and supplied three industrial stainless-steel multi-media filters to a major hotel in Hong Kong to reduce suspended solids and turbidity in water. The filters are composed of stainless steel tanks, Aquamatic valves, high-quality media, and each is individually controlled by an advanced digital stager. The filters were selected from our MF-1100 Series, were each designed to handle a flow rate of 97 GPM.
