Pure Aqua has remained as one of the leading suppliers of Dupont/Dow Filmtec membranes for a variety of applications in the water treatment industries. The membranes manufactured from Dupont/Dow Filmtec are considered as the most common membranes in use throughout the market due to their unmatched capabilities in removing unwanted contaminants from water.
Dupont's FilmTec membranes highlight a spiral wound design and are centered on the polyamide membrane of the thin film composite FT30 that has already become the accepted standard for reverse osmosis performance. The standard Filmtec membrane is composed of 3 layers: an ultra-thin polyamide barrier sheet, an interlayer of microporous polysulfone, and an extra-strong polyester support web. These RO membranes have been modified and optimized regularly to deliver higher rejection, increased membrane flux, and minimal fouling efficiency. The Filmtec membanes of now are exceptional in efficiency and durability, without the wrapped or attached deficiencies that may lead to other membranes to fail. Satisfactory comprehension and implementation of the fundamentals of reverse osmosis will mitigate problematic and expensive potential pitfalls.
Users can find our industrial/commercial Filmtec membrane element when there is a demand for the highest quality water or the most minimal cost of water production.
Low Energy:
A Low energy Filmtec membrane is designed to save energy and costs while maximizing system output with unmatched efficiency. Unlike other competing membrane elements, these ro membranes ensure users to perform well over the operating lifetime. For this reason, Dupont membrane elements are much more stable and operate more efficiently than other reverse osmosis membranes. Such modern designs benefit from lower installed unit costs by reducing component count and installation costs.
Fouling Resistant:
Filmtec membranes are fouling-resistant and feature patented FR membrane technology that provides unparalleled fouling resistance and cleanliness in both drinking and non-potable purposes. A Dupont membrane filter delivers better performance over the functional life of the material, without the need for oxidative post-treatments.
The TFC membrane consists of three layers: a polyester support web, a microporous polysulfone interlayer, and an ultrathin barrier coating on the top surface.
FilmTec thin-film composite membranes (TFC membranes) are the world’s leading RO membrane for water purification systems. To date, more than 1,000,000 FilmTec membranes have been installed in water treatment systems worldwide.
